Meet Liz & Torel
Hi, we're Liz and Torel!
We're a Seattle family who fell in love with Phinney Ridge for its tree-lined streets, neighborhood feel, and unbeatable views. Along with our little boy Dallas, we call this corner of the city home.
We take pride in creating a comfortable, welcoming space for our guests and we're always happy to share local recommendations — the best coffee, the quietest walk around Green Lake, the spots only locals know. Reach out anytime; we're here to help make your stay great.

Welcome to TLD Rentals
Hi, and welcome to TLD Rentals.
If you've landed here, you're probably either thinking about staying with us, just booked, or already wandering Phinney Ridge looking for the best place to grab a coffee (Herkimer, by the way — but more on that another time). Whatever brought you here, we're so glad you found us.
I want to take a minute to tell you a little about what TLD Rentals actually is — because it isn't a faceless property management company, and it isn't a polished hospitality brand. It's a Seattle townhome we love, in a neighborhood we love, that we wanted to share with people coming to visit our city.
The name "TLD" is the three of us: Torel, Liz, and Dallas — my husband, me, and our son. This place is genuinely ours, and that's why our tagline ended up being Stay · Host · Belong. We want our guests to actually rest while they're here (stay), feel cared for the way we'd want to feel somewhere new (host), and leave with the sense that they got to be part of the neighborhood instead of just passing through it (belong). That last one is the part we care most about.
If you haven't spent time in Phinney Ridge before, here's what to expect: a vibrant, walkable main street along Greenwood Ave packed with restaurants, cafés, bookstores, wine bars, and shops — but with the friendly, residential feel of a neighborhood where people actually know each other. You can have award-winning Cambodian food at Sophon, James Beard–level pastries at Petit Pierre, modern Italian at Lioness, and self-serve wine at Chez Phinney — all within a few blocks of each other. We've got one of the country's best zoos walking distance away, a Friday farmers market in the summer, and a 2.8-mile loop around Green Lake that locals use like a backyard. Phinney manages to be lively and grounded at the same time — and that balance is what made us want to plant roots here.
Our townhome reflects that, we hope. It's modern but not sterile. The kitchen has a Bertazzoni gas range because we actually cook (and want you to feel like cooking too). The record player on the shelf has a small collection of vinyl we've curated — feel free to play any of it. The rooftop deck is the part we're most proud of, and on a clear evening, with the Olympics turning pink and the skyline lighting up, you'll understand why.
This blog is something we wanted to add because we kept finding ourselves writing the same notes to guests — "go here for the best coffee, this is what's blooming right now, here's our favorite walk on a gray day." Instead of repeating ourselves, we figured we'd put it all somewhere everyone can find it, and add a little more along the way. Seasonal guides, neighborhood favorites, the occasional behind-the-scenes note about hosting itself — that kind of thing.
A few practical things if you're new here: The Space page has all the details about the townhome itself. The Neighborhood and Beyond pages cover what to do in Phinney Ridge and across Seattle. The Guest Portal (password protected) is for confirmed guests — house manual, instructions for the lock, oven, record player, all of it.
If you've already booked with us, thank you. If you're still deciding, we'd love to host you. Either way, we hope this blog gives you a sense of who we are and what we hope your stay feels like.
Welcome in.
— Liz
